With on-site collection, the patient has their sample collected at a customer-managed location rather than a laboratory-owned Patient Service Center. Collection locations can include clinics, employer health centers, and event-based wellness programs.

How it works

  1. Place an order through the Junction Dashboard or the Create Order endpoint.
  2. Junction validates the order and creates a requisition with the selected partner laboratory.
  3. The patient attends the customer-managed collection location at the time defined by the collection program.
  4. Collection staff draw the sample and arrange its delivery to the laboratory.
  5. The laboratory processes the sample.
  6. Junction makes results available as structured data and a PDF. See Result Formats.

What to plan for

  • Collection logistics: Your program is responsible for defining where and when collection occurs.
  • Patient instructions: Tell patients when and where to attend and provide any preparation instructions associated with the order.
  • Availability: On-site collection must be enabled and configured for your Team before you place orders.
